Our DSL modem, a freebie from our ISP, died a few days ago. (Okay, Mark helped it along a bit.)
While we do have the option of using the service provided by our complex, that's really not a good solution. Their service is slow and filled with potholes, not the least of which is a limit on user activity.
So, a new modem was immediately required.
Whether it's a gold ingot, coin, bar, or something else entirely, gold draws people's attention. It's pretty; it's shiny; it's heavy. It has kitties!
For many, it's a popular hedge against falling stock values and general economic woes. But, not everyone agrees that gold is the greatest investment opportunity.

This month, in about 2 weeks, will see the 7th anniversary of my very first blog post. Cannot believe that it's been so many years. And, at more than 1,800, so many posts.
Over all that time, the focus - though rarely focused - has regularly changed. Lately, I've been more and more involved in reading and book reviews.
